IF YOU LOVE BIG, HANDSOME, USING-TYPE                        GELDINGS..........YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE!!!
We specialize in big stout geldings at an affordable price. Whether you need a horse for feedlot, ranch work, or arena use, our horses are ready for the work and can handle the pressure. Generally we keep nice geldings around 16 hands tall with plenty of substance. Some have been used to catch wild cows along with our Catahoulas. All horses have a good foundation. Most of all, we want to stress that our horses are as advertised. Our horses are ridden inside and outside. Trail riding obstacles like crossing water, jumping logs, and traffic are a walk in the park for them. If they have more than a month of training, they will:
-Be safe to handle and have good ground manners
-Bathe and clip
-Stand for farrier
-Have good rate at a walk, trot, and lope
-Be desensitized to ropes being swung off them, touching them, and being drug behind them

This big 16 hand paint gelding was our family horse. The kids took him over and rode him for a couple years until we got them older, slower horses. He was a nice all-around horse. Handy on the end of a rope and dependable on the trails. When something needed halter-broke, pulled, uprooted, or manhandled, we always seemed to call on this fella. So we named him "Tug".

Tug was called on one morning after a storm. Winds had blown a run-in shed out into the middle of the pond. Since there was no way to get a truck or tractor to it, I rode Tug right to it and pulled it out with a rope.

He literally helped build our place, as we used him to drag all the railroad ties to the post holes to build the arena you see in the videos. He was a true-blue using horse and was nice to have when a farmer called with a bull on the highway that needed penned.
"Life's too short to ride an ugly horse"

This was a nice gray horse that had been used in the feedlot. He was about 14 years old and was really broke with plenty of miles left in him. He had that slow rocking-chair lope that everybody loves and was super nice to be around. Quiet and mannerly, always the first to meet you in the pasture.

                                                                 "GATOR"
This big AQHA gelding is for sale now. He's really a nice example of what we like and what we want to sell to the public. He's 16 hands (maybe even a shade taller) has plenty of handle and lots of buttons. He was raced on the track and has made the transition nicely. He has a hard-to-find combination of power, speed, and responsiveness. He is not a kid's or beginner's horse. He's a serious horse for serious work or competition. Can go all day and won't quit on you. He's a grandson of Streakin Six and 12 years old. Worked and sorted cattle and been roped on. He's ponied colts and been logged. Pulled light cattle too. You wouldn't be ashamed to take this horse anywhere. Price is $4500. I'll try to get an updated video soon. For now, here's some pics.......
